GEORGE TOWN, March 11 — Penang Institute, in collaboration with Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi, has launched Documenting Two Centuries of Transformation: The Story of Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi, Penang, a publication that chronicles more than 200 years of the clan association’s history since its establishment in 1810.
Highlighting its evolving role in supporting migrant communities and Penang’s civil society. The launch featured a bilingual panel discussion with the authors and reflects Penang Institute’s commitment to preserving locally rooted historical narratives for both English- and Chinese-language readers.
