KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 – Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has expressed readiness to return to active roles in Umno if the party leadership decides to lift his suspension.
In a social media video, he said he welcomed recent remarks by party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi about reviewing the status of suspended members.
Hishammuddin stressed that he never left the party despite being suspended in 2023 and had not criticised Umno during the period.
The former defence minister said he would continue serving and fighting for the party if the leadership sincerely decides to withdraw the suspension.
