KEPALA BATAS, March 15 — The Penang government today reaffirmed its commitment to affordable and inclusive housing with the launch of Rumah MutiaraKu (RMKu) Type A units priced at RM42,000.
Alongside the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for additional RMKu units, during an event officiated by State Housing and Environment Exco Datuk Seri Sundarajoo Somu at Bandar Bertam Putra. Organised by the Penang State Housing Board (LPNPP).
The programme also featured LPNPP’s first Customer Engagement Day of 2026, providing direct services to applicants and homeowners, as part of Penang2030 efforts to address housing affordability through strategic partnerships with SP Setia Berhad and Bertam Properties Sdn Bhd.
With the two projects — Pangsapuri Vista Perdana and Pangsapuri Pinang Setia — set to provide 780 affordable units for eligible low- and middle-income families across strategically located developments.
