KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 – Perikatan Nasional chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the coalition will announce its new opposition leader by the end of March following a Supreme Council meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
He said the position will be held by a Member of Parliament from PAS, with the final decision pending internal processes and consultations. The meeting also confirmed several leadership changes, including Takiyuddin Hassan as secretary-general, replacing Azmin Ali.
Other appointments include Annuar Musa as information chief and Radzi Jidin as election director. The opposition leader post became vacant after Hamzah Zainudin was removed from Bersatu earlier this year amid internal party disputes.
