KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 — ShopeePay today announced the launch of Zurich Wallet Protection by Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad on the ShopeePay and Shopee apps, offering Malaysians affordable online financial fraud protection from as low as RM1.40 per month.
With coverage extending beyond ShopeePay to include bank accounts, e-wallets and card payments against risks such as unauthorised transfers, phishing, impersonation scams, card misuse and online shopping fraud.
As the initiative comes amid rising scam cases nationwide, with police recording 47,854 cases and RM1.92 billion in losses as of September 2025, while ShopeePay and Zurich said the collaboration aims to strengthen digital safety by making essential protection accessible.
Easy to manage and inclusive for users aged 18 and above, in support of safer online transactions for Malaysians.
