GEORGE TOWN, March 18 — A temporary road diversion will be implemented along Thean Teik Highway on March 27 to facilitate ongoing construction works.

The closure is necessary for “concreting deck slab” activities between designated sections as part of a major infrastructure project in the state.

The diversion will take place from 10.00pm to 6.00am, affecting both directions between Paya Terubong and Batu Lanchang.

Motorists travelling from Paya Terubong are advised to use Jalan Zoo, Jalan Kampung Pisang, and Jalan Thean Teik, while those heading towards Paya Terubong from Batu Lanchang can detour via Jalan Angsana and Lintang Angsana.

Heavy vehicles are encouraged to use Jalan Paya Terubong and Jalan Kampung Pisang. Authorities said the temporary closure is crucial to ensure the safety of road users during construction.

Traffic management measures, including safety signage and flagmen, will be deployed at affected locations to help maintain smooth traffic flow.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys ahead and follow all posted directions.
