PUTRAJAYA, March 20 — Nga Kor Ming said the government is intensifying efforts to strengthen governance in the real estate sector under the Madani Housing Reform agenda, aiming to achieve zero sick projects by 2030.

The initiative focuses on improved monitoring, transparency, and stronger regulatory systems to better protect homebuyers. Key measures include enhanced Housing Development Account audits, upgrades to monitoring systems, and the introduction of new regulations to widen oversight.

Nga noted that Malaysia’s property sector remains resilient, recording RM241.87 billion in transactions in 2025, reflecting strong investor confidence and continued growth.
