GEORGE TOWN, March 20 — Chow Kon Yeow has called on Malaysians to strengthen unity and foster harmony in his Hari Raya Aidilfitri message, emphasising the importance of compassion, mutual respect, and cultural diversity.
He noted that such values remain the foundation of Penang’s peaceful and inclusive society. Chow highlighted continued state efforts to support Islamic development, including RM25.34 million allocated for mosques and surau in 2026.
He also encouraged the public to uphold the spirit of togetherness, practise forgiveness, and prioritise safety during festive travel, while showcasing Penang as a harmonious destination to visitors.
