PUTRAJAYA, March 21 — The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) confirmed that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) found no elements of corruption or abuse of power in the MyKiosk initiative, while recommending improvements in governance and monitoring.
KPKT has since introduced stricter guidelines for local authorities, including mandatory site studies, quarterly reporting and a performance-based “traffic light” system, and expanded the programme to higher education institutions under MyKiosk@Kampus.
As of July 2025, occupancy rates stood at 91.75% for MyKiosk 1.0 and 86.78% for MyKiosk 2.0, benefiting over 7,000 small trader families nationwide.
