BALIK PULAU, March 22 — Residents of Kampung Pulau Betong are reaping the benefits of 27 community and infrastructure projects under the Ministry of Finance’s Program Kampung Angkat MADANI (KAM).
With initiatives including upgraded community halls, libraries, mosques, covered walkways for students, vendor centers, and tourist-friendly spaces, alongside skill-building workshops in boat engine repair, mobile phone maintenance, batik, and cooking to boost income and entrepreneurship.
Finance Minister II Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan highlighted that these projects improve daily living, strengthen local economic opportunities, support eco-tourism, and benefit some 1,200 villagers.
As part of the RM200 million allocation for KAM under the 2026 Budget’s RM1 billion Ikhtiar MADANI initiative covering 500 villages nationwide.
