NIBONG TEBAL, March 23 — The Seberang Prai City Council has revoked the permit of a fireworks stall following an early morning explosion and fire at Taman Pekaka.
Mayor Datuk Baderul Amin Abdul Hamid said the council acted immediately and has intensified inspections on similar outlets to ensure public safety.
The incident, which occurred around midnight, destroyed the stall and damaged a nearby motorcycle and three air-conditioning units at a house.
No injuries were reported. MBSP will now enforce stricter conditions, including mandatory fire extinguishers, valid insurance coverage.
And enhanced safety compliance for all fireworks stalls to prevent future incidents.
