KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 – The Ministry of Finance Malaysia has announced strict action against individuals misusing subsidised fuel under the BUDI MADANI RON95 scheme, including blocking their MyKad and revoking subsidy eligibility.

The move follows a viral video showing petrol being filled into containers at a station, prompting an investigation.

Authorities confirmed the individual involved is a Malaysian citizen, with enforcement measures also extended to the vehicle owner.

MOF stressed that such actions violate subsidy regulations and risk undermining efforts to ensure transparent and targeted distribution.

The government warned it will not tolerate any leakage or abuse, especially amid current economic uncertainties.

Enforcement will be intensified, while the public is encouraged to report suspicious activities to authorities to help safeguard the integrity of the subsidy system.
