KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 — The MADANI Government has kept the subsidised RON95 petrol (BUDI95) price at RM1.99 per litre despite a global crude oil price surge of over 40%, which pushed prices above US$100 per barrel.

The move aims to shield Malaysians from rising fuel costs, while prices for RON97 and diesel have been adjusted under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) to reflect international market conditions.

From March 26 to April 1, 2026, RON97 will retail at RM5.15 per litre, unsubsidised RON95 at RM3.87, and diesel at RM5.52 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia.

While diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remains at RM2.15 per litre. The government also increased diesel assistance for individuals and agri-commodities to RM300 for March 2026.

And strengthened enforcement to prevent fuel abuse, ensuring stable supply and continued protection for the rakyat amid volatile global oil markets.
