GEORGE TOWN, March 26 – A brawl at a public housing area along Jalan Sungai on Wednesday night has led to the arrest of eight men, following clashes that left three police officers with minor injuries.
Authorities said the incident began around 9.50pm when officers pursued a suspicious individual who fled into the apartment परिसर, triggering a confrontation with members of the public.
Police confirmed the case is being investigated under rioting and obstruction of public servants. The eight local suspects, aged between 28 and 38, have been remanded for three days to assist investigations.
The Royal Malaysia Police urged the public not to spread videos or speculate on the incident, warning such actions could disrupt ongoing investigations and cause unnecessary alarm.
