KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said MIC will remain in Barisan Nasional (BN) for now, but did not rule out a possible shift to Perikatan Nasional (PN).
He noted that recent leadership changes within PN, now led by PAS, require careful reassessment before any decision is made.
Saravanan stressed that MIC must evaluate grassroots views and Indian community sentiment before considering alignment with a PAS-led coalition.
He added that earlier discussions with PN occurred under different leadership. His remarks follow ongoing speculation about MIC’s future.
Especially after delegates authorised the party to explore options amid concerns over its role within BN.
