KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has denied claims linking him to allegations that a PKR MP received RM9.5 million to resolve a “corporate mafia” issue, saying “it’s not me.”
The Pandan MP responded on social media with humour, adding the only thing he “received” during Aidilfitri was weight gain, and said he would comment further after the festive period.
The claims stem from businessman Victor Chin Boon Loong, who alleged a PKR lawmaker requested RM10 million, of which RM9.5 million was paid.
The controversy has widened, with Datuk Seri R. Ramanan denying he is the individual referred to as “Mr R” and challenging Chin to reveal the identity.
He dismissed the allegations as attempts to tarnish PKR, while authorities continue investigations. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has also denied related claims, describing them as baseless and aimed at undermining its credibility.
