KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 – Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad said the Health Ministry will not tolerate harassment, abusive language or public shaming in hospitals, stressing the need for a safe and respectful working environment for healthcare personnel.
He said the ministry is strengthening existing service circulars to ensure clear procedures in handling misconduct. Dzulkefly added that the circulars prohibit insults, emotional harassment and behaviour that crosses professional boundaries.
Complaints must be handled fairly and transparently, while leaders at healthcare facilities are responsible for taking immediate action. He warned that failure to respond to complaints would be considered a serious governance failure.
