TERENGGANU, March 27 – More than 150 family members of personnel from the Kuala Terengganu Fire and Rescue Station gathered for the annual ‘Iftar Kasih Keluarga Bomba’ programme held at the station’s compound during Ramadan.

The simple yet meaningful event allowed families to experience breaking fast at a fire station that remains on 24-hour standby for emergencies. Attendees shared the iftar meal while seated on mats, creating a relaxed and warm atmosphere.

Station chief Senior Fire Superintendent II Thoyyibah Taib said the programme strengthened family bonds among firefighters. The meal was prepared through a gotong-royong effort by firefighters on duty.

While the event also included a tahlil recitation and prayer session, fostering unity and appreciation for the firefighters’ commitment to public service.
