GEORGE TOWN, March 27 — Penang FC chairman and Penang state EXCO for Youth, Sports, and Health, Daniel Gooi Zi Sen, has urged the Malaysian Football League (MFL) to professionally investigate the use of an unregistered Kuching City FC player.
During their match at Stadium Bandaraya. Gooi stressed that fielding an unregistered player violates global football governance standards and should not occur.
Kuching City FC acknowledged the incident as a technical error, issued an apology, and submitted the matter for MFL review. In response, Penang FC lodged an official complaint regarding the disputed player.
Daniel Gooi emphasized that MFL must handle the case according to established codes of ethics and football governance to uphold fairness and integrity in Malaysian football.
