GEORGE TOWN, March 28 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow led a community walkabout at Chowrasta Market this morning as part of the “Jelajah CM” initiative.
Aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement. Accompanied by local leaders and Village Community Management Council (MPKK) members.
The team distributed goodie bags and interacted with traders and visitors, gathering feedback on daily challenges and broader community concerns.
Penang DAP chairman Steven Sim Chee Keong said the outreach reflects ongoing efforts to connect directly with the people beyond election cycles.
He noted that clearer separation between party and government roles now allows more focused community engagement under the party’s identity.
Leaders emphasised that continuous interaction with residents remains key to understanding public needs and strengthening trust across Penang communities.
