KUALA LUMPUR, March 29 – AstraZeneca has announced the availability of Soliris in Malaysia, offering a new treatment option for patients living with rare neurological autoimmune diseases and severe blood disorders.

The therapy has shown improved clinical outcomes for conditions such as generalised myasthenia gravis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, atypical haemolytic uraemic syndrome and paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria.

AstraZeneca Malaysia said the treatment targets the complement system to control excessive immune responses linked to these diseases. The company added that the introduction of Soliris reflects its commitment to improving care and access to innovative therapies for patients living with rare diseases in the country.
