PERAI, March 29 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has left it to Anthony Loke to announce details of an upcoming meeting involving both leaders and former chief minister Lim Guan Eng.
The meeting is expected to address issues surrounding Penang’s revised land taxation, including quit rent rates implemented on January 1.
Chow said he appreciated Loke’s initiative and would refrain from commenting publicly to avoid negative perceptions.
He added that the matter is not new, noting it has been consistently addressed in previous press briefings with detailed explanations already provided.
