KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability is strengthening Malaysia’s legal and institutional climate framework to support sustainable foreign direct investment.

Minister Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup said responsible natural resource management is key to attracting investors aligned with global environmental, social and governance standards.

Two proposed laws — the National Climate Change Bill and the National Climate Change Board Bill — aim to support Malaysia’s net-zero emissions target by 2050 while enhancing transparency and investor confidence.
