GEORGE TOWN, March 30 — Penang celebrates a global recognition as Soori Penang, a newly opened boutique hotel, has been listed in TIME’s 2026 World’s Greatest Places.
Opened in January 2026, the 15-suite hotel blends thoughtful design, heritage surroundings, and modern hospitality in the heart of George Town’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Designed by SCDA Architects’ Soo K. Chan, Soori Penang draws inspiration from historical shophouses and the multicultural heritage of Penang.
