KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 — Capital A CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes confirmed that AirAsia will maintain its flight schedule despite rising crude oil prices following the West Asia conflict.

Fernandes said fares may see a modest increase but will remain more affordable than competitors. “We will not be cancelling flights as demand is good,” he said.

Noting reduced Gulf carrier capacity has created opportunities for ASEAN aviation hubs. He added that cost pressures require industry-wide cooperation.

Including fuel suppliers and airports, and expressed confidence AirAsia can absorb part of the burden while continuing operations.
