SHAH ALAM, April 1 — The Selangor government is finalising a work-from-home (WFH) plan for civil servants to reduce fuel consumption and improve flexibility, Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said.

The move follows federal calls to cut petrol and gas usage amid fluctuating global oil prices linked to the West Asia crisis.

The plan, currently being developed by the state’s human resource division, is expected to be ready within two to three weeks, with flexible implementation to avoid burdening employees.

Amirudin added that Selangor is also strengthening its preparedness to ensure supply stability and continuity of services.

He stressed that while the situation remains under control, proactive measures are necessary, including upcoming discussions with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on the evolving situation.
