KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 —  Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil confirmed that the investigation into MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki’s shareholdings and alleged “corporate mafia” links is ongoing and will be made public once completed.

Fahmi stressed that the inquiry must be thoroughly concluded before any further action can be taken, under the oversight of Chief Secretary Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

Updates on the probe may be disclosed publicly, with subsequent steps subject to Cabinet guidance. The Attorney General’s Chambers has also dismissed Bloomberg’s report alleging Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim intervened in the timing of the investigation’s disclosure.
