GEORGE TOWN, April 3 — The Penang Port Commission (PPC) has intensified measures to safeguard supply chain continuity and maintain stable port operations amid the ongoing global energy crisis.
Chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said rising oil prices and geopolitical tensions are placing pressure on logistics costs and supply chain resilience.
To address these challenges, PPC has enhanced risk monitoring, optimised logistics coordination, and strengthened financial discipline.
The commission is also working closely with industry stakeholders and government agencies, including the Transport Ministry, to minimise disruptions and ensure efficient port operations nationwide.
