PUTRAJAYA, April 5 — Dzulkefly Ahmad called for stronger private sector participation to accelerate Malaysia’s healthcare reform.
Outlining five key priorities to build a more sustainable and patient-centred system. These include involvement in national plans, early participation in pilot projects.
A shift to value-based care, enhanced data sharing, and integration with digital platforms such as MySejahtera.
Dzulkefly stressed that while the public healthcare system remains the backbone, collaboration with private players is essential for long-term resilience.
He said a recent engagement session with stakeholders, co-chaired with Amir Hamzah Azizan, reinforced a whole-of-nation approach.
The initiative aims to create a more transparent, efficient and inclusive healthcare ecosystem for all Malaysians.
