KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 — Perikatan Nasional (PN) has confirmed it has not received any membership application from Hamzah Zainudin.
Amid growing speculation over his political future following his departure from Bersatu. PN secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said Hamzah is currently not affiliated with any party within the coalition.
Takiyuddin noted that PN remains comprised of four component parties — Bersatu, PAS, Gerakan and MIPP — with no new additions.
He also stressed there has been no formal application from Hamzah to join PAS or any other party within the bloc.
The clarification comes after Hamzah hinted that his next political move could involve joining an existing PN party, fuelling uncertainty over his alignment within the opposition coalition.
