PETALING JAYA, April 6 — Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli has survived a no-confidence motion at the Pandan PKR annual general meeting (AGM).
Retaining his position as division chief after a closely contested vote. A total of 42 members voted against the motion to remove him, while 34 supported it, reflecting a narrow but decisive outcome.
The motion was reportedly tabled by members seeking to take control of the division, but grassroots support remained largely in Rafizi’s favour.
Despite not attending the AGM, he had informed the division beforehand. The episode highlights ongoing internal tensions within PKR.
As Rafizi has been openly critical of the party and government in recent months, following his defeat in the deputy presidency race and resignation as economy minister in 2025.
