PUTRAJAYA, April 10 — Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the government is intensifying efforts to support the aviation industry amid rising global energy costs.
The Ministry of Transport Malaysia is engaging with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad and Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia.
With further discussions involving industry players scheduled next week to outline sustainability measures.
Loke added that the crisis underscores the need to boost public transport usage and long-term rail investments.
He also stressed that road safety remains a priority, with stricter enforcement and potential legal reforms to address accidents involving alcohol.
And drug use, while ensuring a more efficient and reliable transport system nationwide.
