KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — The Cabinet has approved the establishment of a Communications Command Centre under the National Economic Action Council to coordinate government messaging on the global energy crisis and the West Asia conflict.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the committee, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister II Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadhilah Yusuf, will meet daily initially, with press briefings at 4pm to ensure consistent updates on government responses and measures.

Additionally, all ASEAN meetings this year will be held online, except for heads of government. Ministers will present economic plans to the Parliamentary Special Select Committee, while virtual meetings for health and other ministerial discussions are also scheduled.
