PUTRAJAYA, April 10 — The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia has confirmed reports of a suspected space debris object sighted in the airspace over Sarawak on April 7.

Initial assessments suggest the object could be part of space debris, though further verification is still underway. Authorities said no confirmed reports of debris have been found on land or in surrounding waters.

Monitoring efforts are being carried out by the Space Authority Division in collaboration with Malaysian Space Agency.

The public is advised not to touch any suspicious objects and to report sightings immediately to authorities or emergency services as investigations continue.
