PUTRAJAYA, April 15 – Ministry of Finance Malaysia announced enhanced diesel subsidies and agricultural support as global energy disruptions continue to drive up fuel costs.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the government is prioritising food supply security and easing cost pressures on rakyat.

The Paddy Cultivation Incentive (IPKP) has been raised from RM160 to RM300 per hectare, benefiting nearly 200,000 farmers with an additional RM40 million allocation.

Monthly cash aid under BUDI Agri-Komoditi and BUDI Diesel Individu has also increased from RM300 to RM400 for April 2026, to be disbursed on April 21.

The move is expected to support farmers, smallholders and around 150,000 diesel vehicle owners. The government will also relax diesel purchase rules for agricultural use.
