TOKYO, April 16 — Nikon Corporation has officially transitioned to a new management structure, appointing Yasuhiro Ohmura as Representative Director and President, CEO.
Taking office on April 1, Ohmura acknowledged the responsibility of leading the century-old company and reaffirmed its commitment to innovation driven by the potential of light.
Under its new Medium-Term Management Plan (2026–2031), Nikon aims to strengthen short-term performance while investing in long-term growth aligned with its Vision 2030.
The company will prioritise financial discipline, strategic resource allocation, and innovation across key sectors including imaging, precision equipment, healthcare, and digital manufacturing.
Ohmura emphasised improving efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction, as Nikon works towards becoming a global technology solutions provider where humans and machines collaborate seamlessly.
