KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 – ZTE Corporation and CIMB Bank Berhad have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Kuala Lumpur to expand their strategic partnership.
Focusing on accelerating 5G deployment and digital infrastructure development across ASEAN. The collaboration combines ZTE’s telecommunications expertise with CIMB’s financing solutions.
To support projects in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Cambodia. The partnership aims to enhance connectivity, particularly in underserved areas.
While supporting regional initiatives such as digital economy frameworks. Building on existing cooperation in Malaysia’s 5G rollout.
Both parties will explore infrastructure financing, cross-border solutions and network expansion, creating a more efficient ecosystem to drive ASEAN’s digital transformation and bridge the urban-rural digital divide.
