WASHINGTON, April 19 — Astronauts aboard Artemis II have captured stunning images of Earth and the Moon using the iPhone 17 Pro Max, marking a new milestone in space photography.
Images shared by NASA show Earth through the Orion spacecraft window, with some photos confirmed to be taken on the smartphone.
Commander Reid Wiseman also revealed a detailed lunar surface shot taken with the device’s zoom during the spacecraft’s flyby.
Alongside the iPhone, astronauts are using professional gear including the Nikon D5 and Nikon Z9. The mission is expected to set a record for the farthest human spaceflight distance.
