TASEK GELUGOR, April 19 — Halal Development Corporation Berhad celebrated a key milestone in Malaysia’s halal industry with the groundbreaking of Phase 2 at PERDA Halal Park.
Officiated by Deputy Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Phase 1 has already achieved an 83% occupancy rate, hosting over 20 SMEs with total investments of RM90.66 million.
The 10-acre expansion will add new factory units and supporting facilities, enhancing operational efficiency and SME growth.
HDC highlighted the park’s HALMAS certification and its alignment with the Halal Industry Master Plan 2030, reinforcing Malaysia’s status as a global halal hub.
