KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 — Major roads in Bukit Bintang will be closed in stages from April 22 ahead of the World Labour Day Celebration and Rain Rave Water Music Festival 2026.

The three-day event, held from April 30 to May 2 in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026, is expected to draw large crowds to the city’s Golden Triangle.

Partial night closures along Jalan Bukit Bintang will take place between April 22 and 28, followed by full-day closures from April 29 to May 2.

Authorities said traffic will be diverted to Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Raja Chulan, and Jalan Imbi to ease congestion.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transport, including MRT, LRT, and Monorail services, which will operate at higher capacity during the festival period.

The event aims to boost tourism and urban vibrancy, while officials advise the public to plan journeys early and allow extra travel time to avoid delays.
