PUTRAJAYA, April 21 — The Economy Ministry has announced that the National Main Database, PADU, will begin offering data analytics services to government agencies.

Starting May 2026 through its analytics portal. Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the new “Analytics-as-a-Service” feature.

Will enable agencies to conduct deeper socioeconomic analysis, helping design targeted policies and programmes to improve public well-being.

Developed in collaboration with the Department of Statistics Malaysia and the National Digital Department, PADU now holds 30.7 million profiles of citizens and permanent residents.

Integrating data from multiple agencies. The platform, classified under National Critical Information Infrastructure, also offers Profile-as-a-Service and Data-as-a-Service.

As of March 2026, 26 government applications have been approved, supporting policy planning and service delivery as Malaysia advances towards a data-driven governance model.
