GEORGE TOWN, April 22 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow announced that the Penang state government has decided not to implement a work-from-home (BDR) policy at this time.
The decision, made during the State Executive Council meeting on April 22, follows a comprehensive assessment of operational needs, service delivery efficiency, and the current situation, which remains under control.
However, the state government will continue to monitor developments and reassess the need for flexible arrangements when necessary.
Chow emphasised that any future changes, including the possible reintroduction of BDR, will aim to balance public servants’ welfare with efficient service delivery, ensuring that public services to the people remain unaffected.
