KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the government will soon announce additional support measures for individuals affected by the global supply crisis.
Including unemployed graduates and diploma holders. He said the initiative aims to ensure that skilled youth are not left underutilised amid current economic challenges.
Anwar said the new measures will complement existing assistance such as fuel subsidies under the BUDI MADANI RON95 programme and support for smallholders and MSMEs.
He added that Malaysia’s unemployment rate remains at 2.9 per cent, with over 500,000 people currently without work.
And the government is committed to strengthening job creation and financial support systems.
