KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 — Malaysia must maintain strategic neutrality and adapt its trade approach to remain competitive amid the evolving global landscape, said Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

He stressed the importance of balancing ties with both the United States and China, which together account for nearly 30 per cent of Malaysia’s total trade.

While positioning the country as a trusted partner in global supply chains. Speaking at a global trade forum, Tengku Zafrul noted that China remains Malaysia’s largest trading partner.

While the US is its biggest investor and export market. He highlighted Malaysia’s strengths in semiconductors, the digital economy and energy sector.

Adding that consistent policies and its status as a net energy exporter place the country in a strong position despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.
