PUTRAJAYA, April 23 — The government’s work-from-home (WFH) initiative has resulted in significant fuel savings, with over 334,000 litres conserved.
Equivalent to more than RM678,000, said Fahmi Fadzil. The figures, presented to the Cabinet by Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.
Reflect participation from more than 155,000 civil servants who applied for WFH between April 15 and April 21.
Fahmi added that the government is now gathering data from the private sector to assess broader savings and impact.
The WFH policy, announced by Anwar Ibrahim, was implemented on April 15 across ministries, agencies, statutory bodies, and government-linked companies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
