SHAH ALAM, April 23 — PAS Youth Selangor has criticised a proposal by Wong Siew Ki to explore modern pig farming systems.

Calling it disrespectful to the royal decree issued by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. Its chief, Mohamed Sukri Omar, urged disciplinary action, including a possible 12-month suspension.

If the proposal is found to contradict the Sultan’s directive to end pig farming in the state. Wong had argued that pig farming should not be treated differently from other livestock industries.

Highlighting potential solutions such as closed-system farming with zero discharge and biogas recycling.

However, PAS Youth stressed that the issue is not technology but adherence to the royal decree, warning that attempts to revive the matter could undermine respect for constitutional monarchy and state institutions.
