KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 — The Ministry of Health Malaysia has clarified that its hologram verification system for health products is functioning effectively.
Dismissing claims of failure amid concerns over counterfeit items in the market. The ministry stressed that the system remains a key component under the Drug Control Authority.
Supported by ongoing monitoring, product registration, licensing, and supply chain audits to safeguard public health.
As part of continuous improvements, the MyUBAT application has been upgraded to verify all versions of security hologram labels.
The ministry urged consumers to purchase products only from licensed premises, use the app for verification, and report suspicious items.
Reaffirming that Malaysia’s health product safety ecosystem remains robust and well-controlled.
