KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 — Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has dismissed calls to postpone the upcoming Melaka and Johor state elections,.
Stressing that neither UMNO nor Barisan Nasional supports such a move. He said proposals to delay polls due to geopolitical tensions are personal views and not party policy.
Zahid added that BN remains prepared to face elections at any time despite economic uncertainties linked to global conflicts.
He also revealed strong support for the Rumah Bangsa initiative, with 10,000 new online membership applications in 48 hours, and plans to introduce direct membership at the coalition level.
