KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 — Registrations for Autism Persons with Disabilities (PwD) cards in Malaysia have surged to nearly 89,000 in 2026, up from about 23,000 in 2021.
Reflecting rising awareness and earlier detection, said Dzulkefly Ahmad. He noted that more parents are recognising early signs and seeking professional diagnosis.

Highlighting the strengths of neurodiverse individuals. He added that the government is adopting a life-course approach to support individuals from early intervention to employment.
