PUTRAJAYA, April 25 — Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said delays in disbursement under the MSME Digital Grant Madani are expected to be resolved by the end of April.

The issue was raised at a recent National Economic Action Council meeting chaired by Anwar Ibrahim, with the Ministry of Finance taking steps to address the matter following concerns highlighted by Bank Simpanan Nasional.

Gobind noted ongoing efforts to fix the delays, amid reports that over 70% of claims remain unpaid beyond six months.

The grant provides up to 50% matching support, capped at RM5,000, to help Malaysian MSMEs adopt digital tools such as e-invoicing and point-of-sale systems, aimed at accelerating business digitalisation.
